Pastor Bio

Pastor Jerome Jackson, 1st Sr. was a graduate of Lincoln Senior High School of East St. Louis, Illinois.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. in Education) from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois.  He received his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Groves, Missouri.

Pastor Jackson was a former School District #189 School Teacher.  Former Board Member –  East St. Louis Financial Advisory Authority.  He served on the Financial Oversight Panel for East St. Louis School District #189.

Pastor Jackson was the former Pastor of the Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Madison, Illinois.  Former Moderator of the New Salem Baptist District Association; former Vice President Baptist General State Convention of Illinois and former Vice-Moderator-at-Large New Salem Baptist District Association.

Pastor Jackson was a member of the Southern Mission Missionary Baptist Church, East St. Louis, Illinois.  He is a certified instructor with the New Salem Baptist District Association, Inc., Congress of Christian Education, Baptist General State Convention of Illinois and the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, USA, Inc.

Pastor Jerome Jackson was married to Marcia L. Jackson for nearly 50 years.  He is the father of two sons, two daughters and the grandfather of one granddaughter and one grandson. Pastor Jackson transitioned from this life on April 21, 2021.
